As we celebrate the freedom of our nation this week let us also celebrate the true freedom we have through our Lord, Jesus Christ. He has delivered us from the power of Satan who once was an angel of light and is now darkness itself. Satan as a ruler of the darkness of this world, delights in the works of darkness. We are brought into the earthly kingdom of Christ which is light itself and are brought in through God’s grace. Jesus, who by shedding His blood on the cross has redeemed us and forgiven us of our sins. Once slaves to sin and bound by the chains of it, we are brought into freedom through Christ’s death on the cross.
Colossians 1:13-14
For He has rescued us out of the darkness and gloom of satan’s kingdom and brought us into the Kingdom of His dear Son, who bought our freedom with His blood and forgave us all our sins.
