But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Joshua 24:14,15
So fear the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly, Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Now that is a familiar verse seen often on plaques and in other places. But did you know where it came from in the bible and what the circumstances behind its usage. It is very interesting to look for a well known verse in the bible if you don’t know where it is and see how it is used.
