Today I would like to look at another of the Lord’s attributes or characters and today I am looking at two because they seem to go together, the Lion and the Lamb and although they seem to be so completely opposite but are both characteristics of our Lord Jesus Christ. How could I pick one without the other? In the below verses Jesus is pictured as the Lion of Judah meaning all power and authority however when the apostle John was in heaven he saw Jesus as the spotless Lamb, slain for our sins. As the Lamb slain on the cross He defeated death and satan and now will be returning as the Lion of Judah. Abba Father – Your Son – our Savior is known as the Lion and the Lamb and I praise You for that!! He will be returning not as a babe in the manger but will be triumphantly be coming in the clouds riding a white horse. With His robe dipped in blood and a sword coming from His mouth He will be returning to judge and rule the nations!!! Our Lion ready to devour satan and stop his plans to rule the world!!!
Then one of the elders said to me, Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals. Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
