Faith without works is dead?

Faith and works. Works and faith. Our faith which God has gifted us with should be active and living instead of passive and as it says in the bible – faith without works (actions of mercy, love, or kindness towards others) is said to be dead. Let us live our faith out actively and as one of my favorite bible verses (one that I use for my signature in all my personal emails) says:

Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

James 2:14
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?

James 2:20
But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
