Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious . .

Worry – who doesn’t? We need not spend hours of worrying and being anxious as it doesn’t add anything to our lives and as a matter of fact is a detriment to our health and well being. It is ok to think carefully about the future and plan for it, but worrying about it gets us nowhere. God does not want us to carry around the weight of problems and burdens. In His Word, God tells us to give Him all of our worries and concerns – He says to not be anxious about anything. When we worry – we are full of fear of what the future holds. So take each day one at a time and pray for God’s Word to guide us, and meditate on God’s Word when the problems, worries, and anxieties of life come along. In fact, sometimes we are so anxious about the past and the future that we don’t enjoy the present – where we are today. Precious Abba blessed Father!!! I thank you for Your provisions and Your taking the worry about things out of our lives. I know that for so long I worried about this and that and still do to some extent but then my heart quiets and I know You have taken care of it for me. I thank and praise You for all that You do for me!!!!

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Matthew 6:25-34
Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
