We can’t take anything with us when we leave this world . . .

1 Timothy 6:7

After all, we brought nothing with us into the world and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.

Simple enough statement. But how do we live? Do we amass possessions while on this earth? Do we have to buy the best of everything, always getting in on the newest and best products? Why? Couldn’t we do with less? If we could do with less than what will we do with the money that is left over? Lots of questions. When Jesus walked this earth He was often heard to say that  Matthew 8:20 ” Foxes have dens and birds have nests but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.” So Jesus didn’t live in a palace or a mansion. His word tells us that in His Father’s house there are many mansions and He is going ahead of us to prepare a place for us. Think I will wait for my mansion till I get to heaven, and lay my treasures up in heaven too, instead of having a temporary one here on earth.
