Behold, I send my Messenger and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple. Even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming says the Lord of hosts.
Another prophecy from the Old Testament – this time it is regarding John the Baptist whom the Lord Jesus is sending before Himself. Behold is used twice to get the attention of those that the prophet Malachi is speaking to and to show the great importance of it. The messenger of the Lord, John the Baptist sent by Christ before His incarnation, before He was in the flesh. John would prepare the way before Christ by preaching the doctrine of repentance. The Son of God, the promised Messiah would come into the temple. He was coming to the delight of those who would have made Him, King.
Be blessed in Him and walk in His strength!!
Therefore Go! (and make disciples of all nations)
