ABIDING IN THE VINE

The world thinks we are crazy, and the counterfeit Christian pretenders want it but do not have it. They work to make their life ‘appear’ to be the product of the Holy Spirit but they are instead accepting the works of Satan. You have to be sincere when you ask Jesus to save you. There is no way to fake it because the LORD KNOWS YOUR HEART. You have to be humble. You have to be patient. You have to be willing to walk through intense fires. And you have to be willing to be unpopular. -Admin-

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 (NKJV)

Have you considered why a peach tree bears peaches, not apples, or why a pear tree bears pears, not bananas? It is because the life of the fruit is inseparably bound up in the tree itself. The sap that flows through the vine and into the branches determines the identity.

Just as surely, God’s life within each believer produces Christlike character. We are the branches that live in union with the Vine, Jesus Christ.

The life within that determines the godly fruit you bear is the Holy Spirit. He is the divine sap that seeks to reproduce the spiritual qualities of godliness.

You can be kind to ungrateful people because the Holy Spirit is unfailingly kind. You can love all people because the Holy Spirit is love. You can be patient in trials because the Holy Spirit has boundless patience.

“I want to experience the life of the Holy Spirit, but I cannot. I try, but I fail!” you exclaim.

Do not despair. Failure is the first step to victory. Abiding in the Vine, allowing the Holy Spirit to reproduce Christ’s character, begins with HUMBLE SURRENDER and DEPENDENCE.
