I do not know why the writer says “the Holy Spirit will never leave you…. unconditional presence.” This is true for genuine Christians, but there are many people turning away from the Lord today. Only the Lord truly knows where an individual’s heart lies but there is a point when the Holy Spirit will leave. People who continue to go their own way and to have their own way ignoring the Lord’s will and conviction on them will lose the Holy Spirit. There are a whole lot of church goers who “think” they are Christians but they are not really saved and they will find themselves left behind to endure the tribulation. -Admin-
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16
The incarnate Jesus was Immanuel—God with us. As His crucifixion neared, He spent His last hours with the disciples explaining that the gift of the Holy Spirit would be the divine agent of God’s presence following His death and ascension.
Because you are a believer in Jesus Christ, God is with you always through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. You are never alone. You are never helpless. You are never comfortless. The presence of the Holy Spirit is unceasing. Once you are saved, His residence is permanent. The Holy Spirit will never be taken from you.
The presence of the Holy Spirit is unconditional. His presence does not depend on your performance. When the joy of the Lord fills you to the rim or when the depth of despair overwhelm you, He is there.
Knowing that, you should feel great security in the Spirit’s unceasing and unconditional presence. It should also encourage you. Through the Holy Spirit, God is intimately involved with every detail of your existence.
