You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Romans 8:9 (NKJV)
A.T. Robertson writes in Word Pictures in the New Testament: “The entire earthly life of Jesus was bound up with the Holy Spirit from His birth to His death and resurrection.” Seriously consider this truth: If the presence of the Holy Spirit was essential for the birth, ministry, and resurrection of God’s Son, then how essential is the Spirit’s presence in the believer’s life?
Apart from the Holy Spirit’s active participation, a person cannot be born again (John 3:5-6). The Holy Spirit’s presence authenticates an individual’s membership in God’s family (Romans 8:9).
The power of God’s Spirit is the only means by which you can live a consistently productive spiritual life. The Spirit of God produces Christlikeness, enabling you to experience the supernatural life of Christ in your practical world of relationships, obligations, conflicts, and challenges (Galatians 5:16).
Jesus was conceived, anointed for ministry, and raised by the power of the Holy Spirit. Likewise, your spiritual conception, life, and eternal destiny are all secured by the Holy Spirit. Are you depending daily on Him?
