The devil can make things look so good but it is always a trap. Satan has been on my trail trying to destroy me even while I was still in my mother’s womb. There have been so many different events throughout my life that I’m sure I have forgotten some of them. But there are also some events that I know God must have surely been protecting me from what could have been horrific. I am still stumped with the last event. Fake preachers being used by Satan to steal, kill and destroy me. I have mentioned this before, but since I am a lady I will say again. To all the young, unmarried ladies- keep your focus on the Lord and give up pursuing dating or marriage. Stay out of churches and stay away from men who tell you they are preachers and Christian. I have seen it before, not only in my own life, but men using “Christianity” just to get to a woman. Christianity has been a “safe” place for deceivers to hide out for centuries. If you ask the Lord to send you a husband then the devil hears your prayers and he will send the most dashing, alluring, and clever young men to beat down your door, and these men will destroy your life in ways you never dreamed of.
If the man is in genuine relationship with the Lord, then if you will allow the time to observe him it will be evidenced by his words, actions and motives. While anyone can play a great ‘religious’ role time is very revealing. Any man who tempts you to sin, or lusts after you is not genuine.
In one of the end times films we have there is a teenage girl who is left behind to endure the tribulation period. In this movie she pitches an angry tantrum about how she has no friends or boyfriends or ever gets to do things she wants to do. The first time I listened to her yell and have a fit I thought “You spoiled brat.” But I have come to relate to her. Later in the film she decided to die to herself, pick up her cross and follow Jesus. She realized that she was in the middle of a spiritual war and her days were numbered to get her relationship right with the Lord.
We are in a spiritual war now. Soldiers on a battlefield do not have time to play games. The time is short for making our eternal decision. There is no time left to be thinking about what “we” want.
The thief does not come EXCEPT TO STEAL, and to KILL, and to DESTROY. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (NKJV)
Perhaps the most passionate, potent temptation of all is sexual allure. Even the strongest-willed men and women are overcome by its illicit attraction. Even the best marriages are destroyed by adulterous relationships.
One reason is the enormous emphasis our society places on sexuality. Sensuality permeates our entire culture, titillating us through television, magazines, books, and fashion.
But a more basic reason is the natural, God-given desire for physical relationships. Sex is God’s idea but only within the bounds of marriage. Thus, Satan takes a legitimate desire for sexual fulfillment, seeking to twist and distort it, and deceives us through the illegitimate means of adultery, fornication, pornography, and other forms of sexual abuse.
The fierce struggle is enjoy your sexuality as God intends while resisting Satan’s alluring, but devastating temptation. Be thankful that God provides a way of escape.
