ETERNALLY DEFEATED

Anyone who tries to persuade you to sin is not a genuine Christian. You should flee from them. So many churches in these last days are full of pretenders who will lure you into all sorts of abominations and sins. It is so easy to accept the invitations because you want to be accepted by people but their friendly, smiling faces and welcoming offers are deadly. -Admin-

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41 (NKJV)

Once you become aware of the severe nature of your spiritual conflict, you must realize God has issued a call to arms.

“Stand firm against the schemes of the devil,” Paul told the Ephesian believers (Ephesians 6:11 NASB). “Resist the devil and he will flee from you,” James wrote the early church (James 4:7 NASB).

God does not ask you to obey an impossible command. If it were useless to resist Satan, why would the Father insist on your defiance?

The devil was met and defeated by Christ in His life, death, and resurrection. On Calvary He dealt a mortal blow to the devil’s chief weapon—death—destroying its power for those who believe in the Savior. Although Satan conducts guerrilla warfare and still possesses deadly weapons of unbelief, doubt, and temptation, he has been confronted on the battlefield of the ages—Golgotha—and has been decisively and eternally defeated.

You can resist the devil. You can overcome his temptations and live an abundant, overcoming Christian life.
