In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. Job 1:22 (NKJV)

Seeing the “big picture” is crucial if you are to live above your circumstances. Focusing on parts alone mainly the circumstances at hand, will confuse and discourage you.

God’s big picture is this: He is always at work in everything to conform you to Christ’s image. God uses both blissful and dismal circumstances to accomplish that task, though you always prefer the former.

When you were saved, Christ came to indwell you so that He could live through you. As He does, you become like Him in character, thought, and deed. When your circumstances press you toward Christ, when they push you to depend on Him, the big picture is being drawn.

Never lose sight of God’s sovereign purpose of molding you to Christ’s image. It is what life is really about, both now and for eternity. Ask God to help you keep your focus on Him and His purpose in your difficulty. He is quietly but firmly at work on His masterpiece—Christ formed in you.
