Matthew 25:31-34

His lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” Matthew 25:21

Some people have such an obsession with the events of the end times that they forget the importance of the spiritual tasks that God has called them to today. Of course, it is important to gain an understanding of what God’s Word says about the future and the coming of His kingdom, but He has not revealed some things—and for good reason. God wants us to live by faith. He doesn’t fill in all the details, endless debates about points of disagreement do not bear spiritual fruit and cause dissension in the church.

What you can know for sure is that God has all future events in His loving control. Someday everyone will be called to account before His almighty throne: “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world'” (Matthew 25:31-34 NASB).

The key question you must answer is, “Am I a sheep or a goat?” You answer makes the difference in your eternal destiny.

God, I am Your sheep. Lead me, guide me, and protect me.
