Acts 9:1-31

But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel . . . ” Acts 9:15

God knows exactly when a person is open to receiving the gospel message. Most of us are familiar with the artwork that shows Jesus at the door of a cottage knocking. A closer look at the painting reveals that there is no door handle on the outside where Jesus is standing. It is our responsibility to open the door from the inside once we hear His knock on the door of our hearts.

The apostle Paul studied under one of the greatest theologians of his time. Yet all he learned was based on tradition and the Law of Moses. Saul (Paul) was completely unaware of God’s plan to save mankind by grace and not works. Up until his Damascus road experience, Paul had not heard the gospel message with his heart.

Alongside the Roman roadway, Paul came in contact with the risen Lord and gave his life to the Savior. Jesus calls to each of us, but He will not press us. Many think they can wait until another time to receive Jesus as their Savior, but only God knows if we will be given another opportunity.

While God loves all men and women, He has placed a serious stipulation on WHO will be with Him in heaven. Only those who profess Jesus Christ as their Savior will stand before His throne in eternity.

And just think: God has given you the great opportunity to guide others to receive Him and receive eternal life.

Thank You, Lord,  for the opportunity to guide others to receive You.
