Matthew 14:22-33

Immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27

You do not know the real depth of your faith until it is put to the test. You cannot know how you will react to storm gales when your world is canopied by blue skies and white puffy clouds. The testing of your faith as a believer is crucial to your walk with the Lord. If you trust Him, then you have nothing to fear. Even in darkness, when your soul cries out, there will be a sense of faith that goes beyond the immediate trial.

Learn to be quiet in your  heart and mind. Ask Him to teach you how to walk beside the still waters of His truth and love. When trouble comes, our minds are often consumed with thoughts of fear and needing to do something. But when you practice walking with your Savior on a daily basis, the storms of life subside.

Dear heavenly Father, teach me how to walk beside the still waters of Your truth and love.
