John 6:35-46

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through ME.” John 14:6

Unbelievers often are stumped by the phrase “born again.” To them, the salvation requirement of being born again is either so intimidating or so ludicrous that they are hesitant to discuss it. Even one of the noblest and most respected teachers of Jesus’ day, Nicodemus, at first didn’t understand the mandate.

When Jesus said that unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God, He was talking about a relationship. Entering into the kingdom of God is entering into a relationship with God. The way to enter that kingdom of God, or the rule of God, is to accept Jesus as Savior, asking His forgiveness of your sins, and agreeing that His substitutionary death on Calvary’s Cross paid your sin debt in full. Then you are born into a new beginning.

There are many ways to appear religious and pious. Yet there is only way to spend eternity in Heaven. Jesus also said, “No one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6 NASB). And He gave no command to “get some things straightened out first.”

Unbelievers are in a condition of being lost. Conduct and behavior do not alter this condition. Only asking Jesus into your heart and trusting Him with your every step and your eternity will leave you with eternal assurance.

Precious Lord, I trust You with every step of my spiritual walk. Thank You for assurance of my eternal future.
