Psalm 34:107

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1

There is a method to having your needs met, but it doesn’t begin by drawing money out of the bank. It begins with worship and prayer. A heart that is truly focused on Christ will be quick to turn to Him in prayer. The very act of praying is a signal to God that there is a willingness to trust Him.

David began Psalm 34 with adoration to God: “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” This also is where we should begin—adoring God and worshiping Him. When we acknowledge the Lord for who He is, we establish a tone of faith for our lives.

When a material need arises, we are not so quick to rush to the nearest store and wave a credit card. Ask God to teach you how to be dependent on Him and not on your resources or ability to to provide for yourself.

God loves for us to need Him. His greatest desire is to build a one-on-one relationship with us. Coming to Him for even trivial needs is a blessing to Him. And often this type of action is a marvelous source of encouragement.

You may not want to pray about everything you do. However, if you will commit your day to the Lord and pray your way through the moments, you will be surprised at the closeness of His presence and at the surety that is yours because you are walking in faith in Him.

Lord, I adore You. I worship You. I wait in Your presence for a divine encounter.
