Ephesians 2:8-10

We have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

You are God’s workmanship. He did not create you or allow you to be born as the result of a whim. Just as He planned heaven’s creation, He planned you. Some who read words may feel as though their lives do not count for much. But from God’s perspective there is no greater potential than what is contained in your life.

Each one of us has an opportunity to experience the love of God, not just in an ecclesiastical sense but in an intimate, personal way that goes beyond the hallowed halls of a church or a worship service. We can know God, talk with Him, and tell Him all our concerns. We can worship Him and pray to Him without getting all dressed up.

Jesus comes to you right at the point of your greatest need. His ideas are fresh and victorious. You may struggle for years, searching for an answer to a particular problem. When you think you have reached your limit, God will surprise you with His solution and blessing.

How do you experience such goodness? It begins with love. Jesus loved you so much that He was willing to submit to the Father’s will. He came to earth with a principal goal in mind—to die so that you might know the love of His Father. His love and death take away the punishment of your sin. Love like this demands our all. He gave us nothing less. Now will you give Him all of yourself?

Dear Lord, I give You my all. I submit to Your will.
