God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17
God is able to rescue us from every sin except one—denying His Son as our Lord and Savior. God has chosen to reach out to man and provide a way for him to have eternal salvation, but it is man’s responsibility to accept God’s offer.
Many spend a lifetime trying to work their way to eternal life. They donate money to charities, volunteer for needy organizations, and lend support for worthwhile projects, but none of this is enough to erase the sin that comes from living a life apart from the salvation of God. There is only one way to God, and that is through faith in Christ.
Jesus came to earth as God’s beloved Son, not to judge the world but to save it. He told Nicodemus: “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18 NASB).
God does not condemn us to a life apart from Him; we choose it when we refuse His gift of salvation. He could force us to obey. Instead, He has given man a free will to choose life or death. He has provided all we need to step away from sin, shame, and negative emotions, but we are the ones who must select God’s way over Satan’s lie.
Committing the unpardonable sin need not be a problem if you submit your life to the One who waits for you with arms open wide.
Father, I choose life! I step away from sin, shame, and negative emotions.
