DON’T MISS YOUR MIRACLE

Matthew 9:19-22

But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. Matthew 8:26

When they set sail on a stormy sea, even Christ’s disciples were afraid. Jesus asked them why, and then He calmed the storm (Matthew 8:25-27).

You may be faced with a similar situation. It is easy to give in to fear and doubt when things all around you are in a state of tumult. The important thing to remember is this: if Christ is in you, He will be faithful to you. With Jesus on board, the disciples’ ship would not have gone anywhere God did not ordain it to go. So it is with your life. Although you cannot see Him, God is aware of your situation and will navigate it successfully.

Ironically, the faith of a woman who had never previously seen Christ dwarfed that of His own disciples. Because she earnestly believed He could heal her, she dared to touch the hem of His garment. Jesus turned to her and said “Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well” (Matthew 9:22 NASB).

Jesus is faithful to all of His followers, regardless of the degree to which they trust Him. But you will miss out on the richness of His blessings when you give in to doubt and fear. When Jesus visited His hometown, the people who had known Him as a child could not believe that. He was a prophet. Because of their lack of faith, Jesus did not perform many miracles there (Matthew 13:54-58). How many miracles do you miss out on because of your unbelief?

Lord, I do not want to stand in the way of Your miraculous workings. Help me to set aside my human fears and trust You to do what humans can’t.
